My studies have included Animal Science & Animal Handling courses as well as being a certified CGC Instructor. I have served as President of the Alice Springs Kennel Club for over 5years as well as Newsletter Editor. I was also very fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend two fascinating seminars with Patricia Craig Trotter & Pat Hasting.

Our dogs are part of the family. They live in the house, on the furniture & underfoot. I breed occasionally, but only when I am ready to breed for something for myself. My dogs are all health tested for hips, patellas (knees), Episodic Falling Syndrome, Dry Eye & Curly Coat as well as annually for eyes & hearts with specialists (please see OFA). My dogs are AKC & CKCSC USA registered & I only consider using sires who also adhere to these requirements. As well as health, I believe an excellent temperament is vital & all in a pretty & sound package, that adheres closely to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Breed Standard. As a breeder, I have a responsibility to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed & it's future.

My daughter, Flynn, has become a consistent part of my dogs & part of Madryn Cavaliers & a fabulous handler.  She was #8 CKCS Junior Handler in the USA in 2011 in her first year in Jnr Handlers.  Flynn has also shown our Irish Wolfhounds.  She has also handled dogs for other owners in Cavaliers & rare breeds.  We lived in Colorado, for 12 years, but have moved to West Virginia.
